FEXCO announced today that it has been awarded the coveted ISO 27001 international information security certification for its Prize Bonds operation.
According to FEXCO, achieving the accreditation means that customers who entrust FEXCO with their data are reassured that best practice procedures are applied throughout the operation at a time when data and process security is under rigorous scrutiny.
The announcement was made following the €1 million Christmas Jackpot Prize Bonds draw, which was the fourth €1 million Jackpot draw to be held this year.
Awarded by Certification Europe, the internationally recognised information security standard ensures that certified organisations select and implement adequate and proportionate security controls, which protect information assets and give confidence to stakeholders including customers.
The international accolade delivers a range of benefits to the Prize Bonds scheme. These include providing a framework for implementing and managing security controls; managing security risks cost effectively; best practice compliance with laws and regulations; optimising new and existing information security management processes and activities; and use by internal and external auditors to determine compliance with information security-related policies, directives and standards.

Speaking at the announcement, Mr Liam Scanlan, FEXCO Director said, “The ISO 27001 international certification clearly demonstrates the high level of independently audited security to our customers and other stakeholders, which is applied at the Prize Bonds operation in FEXCO.”
